Weekly Highlights; The HKB & Templar Brunch Edition

weekly highlights

Weekly Highlights is a new feature here at A Daydreamer’s Thoughts and will be a post highlighting things that happened on and off the blog. It is inspired by The Story Sirens In My Mailbox, Books, Biscuit and Tea’s Showcase Sunday, Kimba Caffeinated’s Sunday Post, and the British Letterbox Love.

In the feature I won’t mention everything I received, nor every post I wrote during the week but will simply feature a selection of things I wish to spotlight a second time around.

Post Highlights

I wrote one review this week;
Mystic City by Theo Lawrence (TWO HEARTS)

This monday I listed my top ten romantic comedies, you can check out my list here!

I also sign up for Review Copy Clean-up, here and my goals for this will be up later today.

Last week I wrote about my Reading Habits, and this week I decided to follow a similar trend and wrote about my Reading Pet Peeves. Do you agree with what I said? Do you have any that I didn’t mention? Come share all!

My Behind the Blog topic this week was all about words! Why not discover my thoughts on new words and their definitions here!

And finally, I announced my blogger spotlight! Go and see who the amazing blogger is RIGHT NOW.

Around the Blogosphere

Unfortunately, due to real life commitments (she has a baby on the way!), Ali has had to leave her co-blogging position on Winged Reviews. This means that the lovely Daphne is on the lookout for a new co-blogger. If you’re interested in helping out an amazing blogger, head on over to this post.

The lovely Rachelia over at Bookish Comforts has written a post about how to optimize your google reader! It’s a really helpful post that you should definitely go and check out!

And I forgot to mention last week but I was interviewed by the lovely Lolita of Lola Reviews! Head over here to check it out!

Letterbox Love

Letterbox Love is a meme hosted by Narratively Speaking where UK-based bloggers can highlight the books they’ve recieved each week. And here is what I got;

HKBTemplar2

So yesterday, thanks in LARGE part to Daphne of Winged Reviews I went to Hot Key Books and Templar Publishing’s Blogger Brunch. It was such a great day with a lovely presentation of all the exciting new titles and a chance to talk to some amazing authors as well. I want to take this moment to give a big shout out and thank you to both Hot Key Books and Templar Publishing! Before we left, we were handed a tote bag filled to the brim with books, but I have to say, I would’ve just been happy with the tote bag! *stares at the pretty*

I won’t list all the books as we’d be here for much too long but these are the books we got! The ones in the top half of the photo are all the ones I got signed by the amazing authors we met with! I’m really excited to read so many of these!

As I was meeting up with other bloggers, I also did some trade-offs of books. I got rid of four books and got these three in return!
Carnival of Souls was swapped with Melissa at Much Loved Books.
Stormdancer and Eternally Yours were swapped with Daphne.

And there you have it, my Weekly Highlights!

I hope to visit all posts of this manner, so feel free to link to your own IMMs, Sunday Showcase, Sunday Posts, Letterbox Loves or whatever it is you do below!

what did you get this week? what cool blog posts did you stumble upon? what are you waiting to happen this week?
