Top Ten Tuesday; Auto-Buy List
26 February, 2013
Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week a new topic is given and this weeks topic is Auto-Buy list
There are a few authors who I adore to pieces and it does not matter what they write, I would be first in line to buy and read their next novel. Here are just ten of them!
- Brigid Kemmerer; Author of the elemental series and one who is simply kick-ass. If you haven’t read her work, I couldn’t recommend it strongly enough!
- Julie Kagawa; An author that inspires me so much. Everything she writes just gets better and better.
- Hannah Harrington; anything she writes I will read. ANYTHING.
- Louisa Reid; She has such a lovely way with words and I LOVE Black Heart Blue. Looking forward to reading more from her.
- John Green; NEW AUTHOR LOVE ALERT. So, I haven’t yet read all of his books due to the fact that I’ve only just been introduced to his awesome talent but from now on…
- Malorie Blackman; Kind-of. I haven’t read EVERYTHING she’s written yet because, well, there’s a LOT out there. But everything new she writes? I’m there!
- J.K. Rowling; She was my childhood favourite author, and I will probably always read work written by her. Though I’m not sure anything will ever beat Harry Potter
- Veronica Roth; Again, she could write ANYTHING and I would buy it in a flash, no questions asked.
- Tammarra Webber; I’m behind on her books too, but anything else she has coming out, I will buy as soon as it arrives, or pre-order!
- Celia Ahern; Possibly my favouritist author EVER. (yes, I said favouritist, yes, it is a word now.) Anything she writes I will read. Yes, yes, yes. A hundred times YES.
And that’s my lot! What about you? Which authors are on YOUR auto-buy list? Do we have any the same?

Kagawa and Roth are 2 of my favorites too. I still haven’t read anything by John Green – need to fix that!

Julie Kagawa and J.K. Rowling are on mine too! :-) I’ve never actually read anything by Celia Ahern, but it seems that everyone who has read her loves her, so I’ll definitely have to give her books a try at some point!

JK Rowling is a MUST! That woman can do NO wrong, seriously! The only book I’ve read by John Green is the one he co-wrote with David Levithan, Will Grayson, Will Grayson (which I ADORED) and I would DEFINITELY add Levithan to my auto-buy list. He is amazing. I also really like Andy McDermott and J.L. Bourne for actiony, post-apocolyptic stuff.

We share a few of the same authors on our lists. I’ve only read one book by Celia Ahern, but I adored it, so I’ll definitely have to check out more of her work. Great list!

I agree with John Green and Julie Kagawa. I also have Stephanie Perkins, Jeaniene Frost (she writes paranormal romance) and Rachel Caine (Morganville Vampires)

I will always, always, ALWAYS buy JK Rowling’s book. I have yet to read The Casual Vacancy, but I’m curious to see how she fared with her adult book!
