Top Ten Tuesday; Books That Deal with Tough Subjects
14 May, 2013
Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week a new topic is given and this weeks topic is books that deal with tough subjects.
This week I have done things a little differently by doing a vlog of my top ten! Hope you enjoy.
(As a side note, I realised afterwards that I missed Easy by Tammara Webber, so think of that book as my cheeky number 11. It is an absolutely FANTASTIC read.)
Oww love your choice of Hannah Harrington. I should read those books I have heard many good things on them. And indeed The Fault in our Stars is popular today!!
Amazing post! I now realized vlogs are more influential :P
I’ve added Hannah Harrington to my TBR, anddd I love books with kids as protagonists, too! I read this ‘A Step from Heaven’ by An Na and it was about racism and family issues, said from the viewpoint of a child. Loved it. I was wondering where John Green was! :P I loved The Fault in Our Stars! Read it on my Kindle but ugh, that wasn’t enough. My paperback copy is on it’s way! ;) Same with Looking for Alaska, which I finished today. I don’t know when I’ll recover from these books.
If I had the power to like comments, your comment would have been liked!
Glad you liked the video and added awesome reads to your TBR! :D I’m definitely going to be checking out A Step From Heaven, thanks for the recommendation!
And I know, right? John Green should come with a warning label or something! Looking forward to reading Paper Towns next :D
I adored Speechless – I know what you mean about it leaving you speechless.
I’d not heard of the first book on your list but I’m looking it up now – it looks amazing!
And that was a great video – I think if it was up to me I’d have just used the word fantastic a thousand times and not really said much else… I’m a bit of a gusher when it comes to books I love for whatever reason.
oh! And you reminded me that someone recommended Easy to me but I forgot all about it! Thanks!
Great vlog! You should really do more, you are a natural :) Made me laugh when you said you lost a book… the sad life of a book blogger!
I got Black Heart Blue from the library this week! Glad you liked, and good for my TBR if its a quick read. Also 3 new books for my TBR!
Reminder to self to read Speechless and Ferryman though >..<

Haha. I have a clip (that I cut) of me saying “I have said amazing a lot of times in this video”. Lol! So I totally understand!
