Interview

Lolita Tells Us All!

Hey Guys!
So kicking off a month full of interviews and guest reviews is the lovely Lolita from Lola’s Reviews. She is here for you today with an interview. All of the bloggers I contacted were given the same questions as I thought it would be fun to get different opinions on the same things.
Hope you enjoy all of the questions and all of the answers.

The summer is often a great time for reading. What are five books you would recommend others to read this summer?

Losing Francesca by JA Huss, because it takes place in summer. I am currently reading it and I am really enjoying this so far. Also it has a great mystery that makes you want to keep reading to find out who Fransesca really is.

Fire Country (Country Saga #1) by David Estes, because it’s epic and it takes place in a land where it’s always warm.

Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits #1) by Katie McGarry, because I read this last summer and for some reason it felt like the perfect season to read this. And romance books are good for summer, right?

Camp Kiss (Camp Boyfriend #0.5) and Camp Boyfriend (Camp Boyfriend #1) by Jk Rock, because camp takes place in the summer, so what better time to read these books. Camp Boyfriend will be releashed 2 July and Camp Kiss is free for download here: http://www.spencerhillcontemporary.com/Camp_Kiss.html

The Gathering (darkness Rising #1) by Kelley Armstrong, because it’s an awesome book and for some reason the setting makes me think of summer.

While our wishlists are already towering over, are they any new releases happening this summer that you’re really looking forward to?

Camp Boyfriend by JK Rock, after reading the free prequel I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this book. Another book I am really looking forward to is Omens (Cainsville #1) by Kelley Armstrong, she is one of my favourite authors and I can’t wait to start this new series. And another book I am really looking forward to is Manic (Rook and Ronin #2) by JA Huss, I really enjoyed the first book and I hope the second book is just as good.

Sometimes the weather can turn a little dreadful. Are they any books you would recommend to read to counteract this weather?

Here in the netherlands we often have dreadful weather in the summer. A few books I would recommend for this weather:

Darkfever (Fever #1) by Karen Marie Moning, because that book contains a lot of dreadful weather and really if you haven’t read it yet a dreary day seems like the perfect day to start this.

Renhala (Renhala #1) by Amy Joy Lutchen, because immersing yourself in a fantasy world is one of the best things to do on a dreary day

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) by Susan Collins, because dreary weather won’t seem like such a big problem after reading this.

Water&Storm Country (Country Saga #3) by David Estes, because it has a lot of bad weather too. I mean it’s isn’t called storm country for nothing. And really secretly I am just trying to convince you all to read this series.

The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay, because a slow paced contemporary book with a great romance is perfect for dreary days.

Name your top three authors.

This is always a difficult questions, can i name more than 3? Some of my favourite authors are: David Estes, Rachel Vincent, Kelley Armstrong, Richelle Mead, Karen Marie Moning and Jennifer Estep.

When it comes to blogging, are you someone who posts spontaneously or do you schedule ahead?

Usually I schedule ahead, I sign up for a lot of cover reveals and blog tours and then when I get the materials I often immediately schedule the post. When I finished a book I write my review and after that schedule my review post on my blog. It doesn’t happen a lot that I spontaneously make a post and immediately post it. I prefer planning and scheduling. I have a google calander mostly focussed on keeping track when to post what.

What are your three favourite reviews that you have written since you started blogging

I always have difficulties with choosing favourites, but I am going to try.

Soul Avenged (Sons of Wrath #1) by Keri Lake

Fire Country (Country Saga #1) by David Estes

The Rising (Darkness Rising #3) by Kelley Armstrong

pony kleinI am Lolita, I am 22 years old and I live in the Netherlands. I have my bachelor’s degree in psychology and my master’s degree in economic and consumer psychology. I am interested in humans and interactions and I love hanging around on social media. Also I love reading books and writing reviews about them, hence the reason I started this blog. I am a bit of a critical reader and also love beta reading.

Besides reading, hanging around on the internet and finding out more about social media I also love gaming, puzzling and walking, I love being around nature and everything that’s green. Spring is my favourite season and my favourite time of the day is afternoon. My favourite animal is a pinguin and I love the colour green.

Thank you so much for the wonderful answers Lolita! It was really nice to get to know you a little better and to get some good recommendations for the summer! Have you read any of the books that Lolita recommended? Or do you think you now will?
