Weekly Highlights

Weekly Highlights; The Two Book Edition

weekly highlights

Weekly Highlights is a new feature here at A Daydreamer’s Thoughts and will be a post highlighting things that happened on and off the blog. It is inspired by The Story Sirens In My Mailbox, Books, Biscuit and Tea’s Showcase Sunday, Kimba Caffeinated’s Sunday Post, and the British Letterbox Love.

In the feature I won’t mention everything I received, nor every post I wrote during the week but will simply feature a selection of things I wish to spotlight a second time around.

Post Highlights

So this week was my first week back at work after a week off and it was a little hectic because I also went to London for two evenings (for two bookish events!) and then was so tired on thursday evening that I did NO reading or writing. This weekend has been a little less busy but there have been family things and friend things so still little reading and writing has been done. I do, however, have monday evening free so hopefully some writing and blogging will be done! But, moving on…

I wrote ONE review this week;
Every Day by David Levithan (FOUR HEARTS)

I also wrote a discussion post about author backlists and whether or not you feel it is necessary to read everything an author has written. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the matter! – here.

Upcoming

Last week I mentioned that I’m planning things for my two-year blogoversary and I just want to mention that more has been planned and is happening and some things for it will be revealed next week!

My blogoversary is officially September 15th so it’s not long now until celebrations will be had! Keep an eye out because I will be having a lot of fun things going on, on the blog!

Letterbox Love

So as mentioned above, this week I went to two bookish events which means that I got two new books, both of which were signed and personalised to me! I know I still haven’t vlogged about the books I got last week but it’s on its way, I just need to find the time to edit it! Moving on…

lockwood The Elites

Lockwood & Co; Screaming Staircase by Jonathan Stroud; I have already read and LOVED this book and so going to the launch party and meeting Jonathan again was really great – and kind of awe-inspiring! This book is already on my favourites shelf!

The Elites by Natasha Ngan; I have head SO MANY good things about this one but just haven’t gotten around to reading it yet but meeting Natasha was lovely as we managed to have a good chat and I can’t wait to read her book.
