Weekly Highlights; The One Book Week
Weekly Highlights is a new feature here at A Daydreamer’s Thoughts and will be a post highlighting things that happened on and off the blog. It is inspired by The Story Sirens In My Mailbox, Books, Biscuit and Tea’s Showcase Sunday, Kimba Caffeinated’s Sunday Post, and the British Letterbox Love.
In the feature I won’t mention everything I received, nor every post I wrote during the week but will simply feature a selection of things I wish to spotlight a second time around.
Post Highlights
It is actually boggling my mind that it was Easter Monday last Monday, it feels like it was AGES ago as SO much has happened since then. Of course, I have, yet again, had a very busy week so I’m quite glad that I got a post on the blog everyday bar one! Go me!
I posted TWO reviews this week;
The Three by Sarah Lots (FOUR HEARTS)
The Lives and Loves of Jesobel Jones by Anna Mainwaring (GUEST REVIEW)
On Tuesday I told you all about the characters I would love to check in with, find out who they are in this post.
And on Friday, I shared my thoughts about bookmarks and dog-earing books. To find out what I said and to join the discussion click here.
Spring Clean Your TBR
I’m really not doing so well on this challenge, I put it down to how busy I am. Hoping to get more on top of things next week though!
You can find out how much I’ve read of what here.
And you can still sign up and join us in this post.
Around The Blogosphere
This week Carly got a little ranty on a very interesting topic. Bloggers aren’t billboards. I couldn’t agree more. Check out the post here.
And to balance it out and lighten the mood, she also wrote a really fun post full of gifs about Netgalley. Click here to see that post.
This week Lucy has confessed to some bad habits she does as a book blogger. Posts like these are great reminders that we’re all still just people. Check out the post here.
On a similar wave to Carly, Amber posted this week asking the question; Should Book Bloggers get paid. See her thoughts, and the thoughts of others in the comments and add your own in this great post.
Jamie has written a great post this week about how she’s overcome some of her bookish fears and gotton two victories out of suggesting her favourite books to people she knows. To see the post, click here.
Celine has shared with you some Fantasy series that you may not have read yet. If you’re a lover of fantasy or in the mood to read it, I suggest you check out this post.
Letterbox Love
I don’t know how I managed it but SOMEHOW I only acquired one book this week. I think we should all celebrate this achievement! (Or you know… don’t).
Sweet by Tammara Webber; There are not enough words to describe how excited I am for this book! I cannot wait to dive into this one. I love the Contours of the Heart series SO MUCH. And Tammara is a brilliant writer and I’m just so glad I was lucky enough to get an ARC!
Currently Reading
I read a few books at a time so I have decided that I want to showcase them a little on the blog and so from now on I thought I would tell you all what I’m currently reading (on Saturday/Sunday!)
This week I am currently reading;
And there you have it, my Weekly Highlights!
