Blogspiration #24; A World Inside
As the second week of November comes to a close and I’m still behind target on my NaNoWriMo, I figured a bit of writing-inspired inspiration this week is just what would work perfectly and so when I stumbled across this quote, I knew it simply had to be used.
This is such a powerful quote, don’t you think?
I’ve never read anything by Neil Gaimon (please don’t shoot me!) but I saw this quote and just simply fell in love with it. Writers write because we feel we have stories to tell and the best way to sort that out is to form words and get them out there for the world to see.
But even non-writers have stories inside of themselves, stories to tell, just waiting to explode but not having the confidence in their abilities to actually go ahead and just do it.
So while I am hunkering down this November to write 50K words in one month, just remember that I’m simply exploring the worlds in my head and setting them down on “paper” for everyone else to see.
So whenever you’re feeling low, lacking confident or just wondering “what is the point” of life, remember that somewhere in your head is a world that is so amazing, many people are jealous of your talent to think up something so spectacularly stunning. Okay?

Oh Faye, I love it. And I completely and utterly agree. We all have stories, we all have worlds. xo
I hope the writing’s going well!

Faaaaaaaye. Neil Gaiman is… just. I can’t even. I ADORE him. And I have a strong feeling you’d really like Stardust and American Gods. Not to mention The Graveyard Book. I’m pretty sure you’d have to have no soul to not like TGB.
I LOVE this quote ♥

You have to read Neil Gaiman soon as possible. I read Coraline earlier in the year and I ADORED IT SO MUCH. It’s beautiful and terrorfying and really just stunning. Read it! (:
