Q&A
What is your favourite thing about writing books?
Being able to tell a story and share it with others.
Who is your favourite character in your book and why?
My favorite character would have to be Krista Jameson. She’s sassy, smart and caring. She was such a fun character to write.
What is your favourite drink to consume while writing?
Coffee and Dr. Pepper lol
Do you have any bad habits while you’re writing?
Usually I either listen to music or I’m watching Ghost Adventures.
How do you research your books?
If I have to research certain details, it’s typically via the Internet. For Blackstone’s Heart I had to research types of guns so I went to gun websites.
Are you a plotter or a pantser?
A little bit of both.
If you could live in any fictional world, which would you choose and why?
I’m torn between the Star Wars universe (George Lucas’s version) and the world created by Karen Marie Moning. Star Wars because I am a life long fan and love Lucas’s world. For Karen Marie Moning, I fell in love with her Highlanders and that love continued on to Mac and Barrons.
If you could befriend any fictional character, who would you choose and why?
Hmmm, I would have to say Jay Gatsby. He seemed like such an interesting character and though he loved being surrounded with interesting people, he only let a very very select few in to really see him.
About the book
Ethan Blackstone thought his day would start off with business as usual at Blackout Security Inc.until he gets a call – when Austin’s top District Attorney and possible front runner for the next Governor’s election comes to him for help; Ethan can’t say no.
The client? Krista Jameson. She’s not only the only daughter of D.A. Nicholas Jameson, but she was also Ethan’s first love and now a successful bestselling novelist. A crazed fan, however, has marked her as his and is now sending letters to Krista’s father.
Will seeing Krista again be business or will their past rekindle a flame that was never truly dead?
If she had thought he was trouble when they were teenagers, the man he was now was lethal.
Krista Jameson had built a career on helping people escape reality with her words. Now, her fantasy had became her nightmare. When a crazed fan decides to claim her as his own, she is forced to watch her every move. Now, her stalker is writing to her father and forcing him to bring in added security.
Enter Ethan Blackstone and Blackout Security Inc. Ethan was her first love and the man that apparently she never got over. She knows he can protect her from her stalker. But who will protect her heart from the formidable former Marine Spec Ops that has once more become essential to her life?
As the danger to Krista grows so, to, does the flames of their passion. Together they will face her nightmare, but will they have a future at the end?
