Bio: My name is Yoann and I am from France. I have just graduated in translation and writing and I have been a literary translator for a year and a half. I really like to drink a good cup of tea (especially Japanese, Chinese and Korean) and to relax with a book and some music in my ears. I am very interested in Japan, Korea and China whether it be about their traditions, their history, their clothes, their food and so on. I am new to this community as I have only begun two months ago and I hope to meet people who share my hobbies.

General Book Questions

What type of books do you read? (i.e. picture books, non-fiction, YA, Adult)
I mainly read about YA/adult fantasy.

What is your favourite genre to read?
My favourite genre to read is and has always been fantasy.

Do you ever read outside of your favourite genres?
Not really as there are a lot of books in my favourite genre so I try to focus on them.

How do you currently get your books?
I buy them on Amazon and Bookdepository and Abebooks as these shops are the only ones whose shipping costs are not expensive. As I live in France, it is difficult to find shops which sell English books.

What is your favourite thing about reading?
I really like to read about the worlds created by the authors. I also love reading because imaginary worlds have always interested me.

What type of posts do you love writing the most?
I love writing about the books I have just read, those which will be released and what I bought.

What type of posts do you love reading?
I love to read about reviews of the books I liked. I also like to discover new books or anything book-related.

How long does it take for you to write and post a review?
A few hours (about four to five hours I would say)

Where do you share your blog posts?
I share them on my Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

What is your favourite thing about blogging?
I can talk with people who share the same hobbies. I also love to discuss a book I have loved. I’ve only begun blogging two months ago and I hope to keep on meeting people who love the same things as me.

Does your instagram have a theme?
Not really. I try as much as possible to take pictures which display the themes of the books or the atmosphere.

Do you just write reviews or do you do other posts too?
Yes, I try to showcase books which will either be released or which are not really known. I also post about the book signings to which I go and what I bought.

How do you find inspiration for your photos?
I try to think about the themes or the atmosphere of the book then I take items which show this and I try to create something that I love.

How long does it take to create a photo and upload it?
One hour I think.

Where do you share your bookstagram posts?
On Twitter and Facebook and my blog.

What is your favourite thing about bookstagram?
I can meet people who share my hobbies and with whom I can talk to. I also love to follow artists and bloggers.
