So last week, the wonderful Lauren over at Northern Plunder announced a new read-a-thon that she is hosting in July. It is called Imi-A-Thon and the idea is to read some of Imi’s (Imi Reviews Books) favourite books!

You can find even more info on the readathon on Lauren’s blog; here.

The Books I Want to Read

I’m not going to challenge myself too much for this as I have quite a lot of books to read but I am going to try and read at least two of the below books. (If you have a strong opinion on which ones I should read, tell me in the comments!)

The Long Way to A Small Lonely Planet by Becky Chambers; I actually found this book on my Kindle yesterday so I’m looking forward to diving in. I also know my best friend Ray is a huge fan which is always a good sign in my book!

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff; I’ve started this book (this is not necessarily a bad sign) but I didn’t get around to finishing it. I’ve been reading the audiobook but I think that it is one that I actually need to read on the page as I kept re-winding it which is obviously quite annoying. I also know my other best friend, Jess is a big fan of this one so I really want to give it a good try.

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon; I really need to read this one! It’s been on my TBR since the book was first released so I really think it’s time I picked it up, don’t you? Plus, I think Imi might disown me if I never read it!

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon; This is a book that I am actually about halfway through but didn’t finish it before the event with the author and then I just moved on to another book. I’ve also been a big reading slump so haven’t quite gone back to it yet. So maybe this month I can actually get around to finishing it?

Will you be joining in with this read-a-thon too?

Which books should I prioritize?

I'm just a twenty-something year old girl who has a passion for everything related to books, films and writing. I'm a part-time librarian, sharing my love of books and films with the world.
