Hello!
Today I am doing something a little different which I am hoping to continue on the blog for a while. I’m calling it my Recommends feature because I am feeling unoriginal and because that is basically what this is going to be. Whenever I have time/feel like it, I’m going to use it to list three to five things I recommend within a certain theme.
For example, this first post is a recommendation of tv shows I have recently watched and would recommend. I have plans for songs and films too in the coming weeks but I’m sure I can broaden it to food, etc. And I may have guest authors too!

So here are five shows that I have been watching lately that if you haven’t already watched, I highly recommend you do!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Okay, I have been a BIG fan of Brooklyn Nine-Nine since I first watched it a very long while ago BUT I’ve recently been watching Season Five and it is potentially my favourite season so far. I know, right? So if you haven’t even started this show yet, do! And if you’re behind… well… catch up?

The Good Place

I more or less binged watched the first season of this show in one afternoon and then the second season in a different afternoon. They’re incredibly funny and pretty addictive. They’re just easy to watch and I really loved everything about them. I also have a very awesome GIF of Michael talking about kissing which is pretty much on point in my opinion. So do get to watching this if you haven’t yet!

Life in Pieces

This is a show that I randomly decided to watch because it was in my “you may like this” video section. Turned out, I really, really did. It has a bit of an odd concept in that the show is split into four short stories during each episode but it somehow just works. I’ve grown very attached to all of the characters in the show and now watch the new ones as they come out weekly! If you like Modern Family, I’m positive you’ll enjoy this. The only problem I have is that it is very cis-white!!

This Is Us

I’ve only recently started this show but I got addicted as soon as the first episode ended! It’s a drama and it’s very interesting to see how all the lives of the characters collide. I have to admit to connecting quite a lot to Katie and I am very intrigued to keep following her story arc. If you haven’t started this series yet, you should definitely give it a try!

Alexa and Katie

Lastly, but certainly not least, I decided to watch Alexa and Katie because it kept popping up on my Netflix feed but I am so glad I did. This show is very real and very similar to YA fiction too so I am sure a lot of my audience will love this show! It involves Cancer so it may be triggering to some but it’s dealt with really sensitively and it’s just a lovely story about friendship. So if you want something with a strong, inspiring friendship then you should watch this! (I also got through this quickly, too quickly if I’m honest as I want moooore!)
