Top Ten Tuesday; Ten Series I’d Like To Start
5 March, 2013
Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week a new topic is given and this weeks topic is Top Ten Series I’d Like To Start But Haven’t Yet
Reading series that have already finished or just have a thousand books in have always been looked at with a bit of trepidation for me. Sometimes I may buy that first book but then never make it to actually reading it. Or, as we all understand, other books just look more interesting. But here are ten series that I’d love to start, if I had more time!
- Gone series by Michael Grant; I have heard such fantastic things about this series.
- Iron Witch series by Karen Mahoney; I loved Falling to Ash and can’t wait to read more from her!
- Too Far series by Abbi Glines; This has been highly recommneded to me and I really want to see what it is all about.
- Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead; I haven’t even read the Vampire Diaries but this seems to be loved by everyone and I really want to see why!
- The Wolves of Mercy Falls by Maggie Steifvater; Everyone likes this, I need to get on this train very shortly!
- Farsighted series by Emlyn Chand; I loved her adult book, and she is a really great person as well. Need to get on this series!
- Graceling Realm series by Kristin Cashmore; There are some people’s opinions about books that I really trust, the person who recommended this is one of them.
- Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr; Recommended by the same person as above.
- Aftertime series by Sophie Littlefield; This came on my radar near the beginning of blogging and I’ve wanted to read it ever since.
- The Taker series by Alma Katsu; it just sounds sooo intriguing and interesting!
And that is my list! What about you? Do you have any series you’re dying to start?

Gone and Graceling are on my list too. Also, I’ve read the first two books in the Aftertime series. I don’t think they were so much for me (

I got cut off. Thanks Internet… (I’m not big on zombies.) but I really like Sophie Littlefield and I do intend to finish the series. :)

I have the Vampire Academy & Bloodlines series both on a list of series I need to read. And The wolves of mercy is also a series I’m interested in. I have the Graceling realm on my list this week! :)

You sum it up for me when you say that after they are “done” they don’t seem like that much fun to read. It is why I haven’t started Harry Potter.

I just finished first two books in the Farsighted series and loved it. You really need to read them. My reviews will be up next week for the blog tour.

I really want to get round to reading the Gone series too. It looks so good and I love the look of the books themselves with its colourful pages! So many series so little time haha! Great list :)

I loved theGraceling series, so hope you get to it soon :-) I didn’t really like the ending of the Wolves of Calla series, but overall, I enjoyed the books

Bloodlines is on my list too! Great list :)

I really want to read the Graceling Realm series too, have heard great things about it, and like you, from trusted people. Great list – some things on it I haven’t heard of, so going to go look them up! :-)
Nikki @ Foil the Plot
I’d have to agree with you on Maggie Stiefvater’s The Wolves of Mercy Falls series. As a tried and true Maggie fan, I’m interested to see how these books hold up to The Raven Boys and The Scorpio Races. I’ve also heard the Graceling series is to-die-for!
I’m also a bit intimidated by Game of Thrones (solely because of its sheer length) so I’ve settled for watching the show. I would, however, love to read the books someday. Great list!

Wolves of Mercy Falls and Wicked Lovely are both musts!! I didn’t love Graceling so I wouldn’t rush. And I’m with you on Bloodlines. Come check out My TTT :)

I have a love-not so love relationship with The Wolves of Mercy Falls, even though I love Maggie’s writing and it’s incredible throughout the book. I really loved Shiver, but not so much Linger and Forever.
Also, YES to starting Graceling! I love the first two books, but I haven’t quite finished off this series, so I’m hoping to do that soon…

I need to read Graceling soon! I meant to read it last year and never got round to it. The Iron Witch was a really good book, but I haven’t continued with the rest of the series, which I should probably do soon. I’m going to end up downloading Abbi Glines’ books on my Kindle soon, because they sound so fantastic, and I don’t want to miss out!

Bloodlines is on my list, and I want to read Too Far by Abbi Glines too! Thanks for sgharing :D

Farsighted is great! I still need to read the rest of the series, though. (And I want to start reading Gone too – it’s been on my bookshelf for ages!)
Lolita
The Bloodlines series is really good so far, although I think it’s even better when you have read Vampire Academy before it (campire Dairies is a totally different series by a different author). I also really enjoyed the Wicked Lovely series, if you’re in the mood for fairies pick this up.
Pabkins
The Graceling ones I’ve been wanting to read forever also! I enjoyed the Maggie Stiefvater ones though they are a bit slower. I have a few of the others also but haven’t read them either haha!

I was a bit disappointed with the first Michael Grant tbh, but I keep meaning to read the second one. Surely a series that long cant be that bad? And I soooo have to read Abbi Glines’ books, but I don’t think my library has any :(
