Waiting on Wednesday; Jessica Sorensen and Veronica Roth
Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Each week bloggers highlight the books that they are highly anticipating.
This week I am waiting on two books!
What if your whole world was a lie?
What if a single revelation—like a single choice—changed everything?
What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?
The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.
But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.
Told from a riveting dual perspective, Allegiant, by #1 New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth, brings the Divergent series to a powerful conclusion while revealing the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.
I have been waiting on this one for over a year now and I just simply cannot wait to get it into my hands! And if you haven’t started reading this series yet, what’s stopping you?
Ella and Micha have survived tragedy and heartbreak. When they’re together, anything seems possible. But now they are thousands of miles apart, and managing their long distance relationship will put their love to the test.
Ella is back at school, trying hard not worry so much about her future. But with her father in and out of rehab, she’s having a hard time making it through the days. All she wants is Micha by her side, but she refuses to let her problems get in the way of his dreams.
Micha spends his days touring the country with his band, but deep down he knows something is missing. Being away from Ella is harder than he thought it would be. He wants her closer to him-needs her with him. But he won’t ask her to leave college, just to be with him.
The few moments they do spend together are intense and passionate, but it only makes it more difficult when they have to part. They know they want to be together, but is wanting something enough to get them to their forever.
I have been waiting on this one since I finished The Secret of Ella and Micha at the beginning of the year. I want to know how their relationship continues. What else will happen? And really, I just want more of them!

I’m actually not a huge fan of the Divergent books but am hoping this will change once I get my hands on Allegiant.
I really need to read The Secrets of Ella and Micha because I’ve heard good things about it.
Great picks, Faye!

I am so, so excited for Allegiant! It sounds like it’s going to be amazing, although I’ll be sad to say goodbye to the series as it’s one of my favourites. Great picks!
