February 2020: Books I Read This Month
February 2020; Books I Read This Month
Hi All!
Today I am here to list the books that I read and/or started this month. This is going to include that ones I started and DNF’d and the ones I started but just didn’t get around to finishing.
Enjoy!
Little Boy Lost by J. P. Carter
This was such an intense and interesting read and one that I devoured easily. I would definitely recommend it to those who enjoy thriller reads but it is also surrounding a riot happening in London so be warned that it can also be quite a tough read. You can see all my thoughts on it here.
Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano
Another book that I really enjoyed reading. This one is intense in a different way to Little Boy Lost. It is also very emotional and a complete character-driven story. It is one that I absolutely recommend. You can read my full thoughts in this post.
Yes No Maybe So by Becky Ablertalli and Aisha Saeed
I really loved this book. It’s so cute but also powerful and important. I loved reading about Jamie and Maya and loved seeing how much they grew throughout the story. I would definitely recommend this book if you’re looking for a good contemporary to read.
A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer
This book has actually won my favourite book of the month! But that was bound to happen as Brigid Kemmerer is one of my favourite authors. This book was a fantastic sequel to A Curse So Dark and Lonely and I cannot wait to read the final book in the trilogy! I wrote a short review on Instagram which you can read here.
Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han
I’ve been listening to this trilogy since before the first film came out on Netflix so with the release of the second film, I decided it was time to finish the book. I absolutely loved the final book and think the series as a whole is really lovely. I definitely recommend them!
A Country Dilemma by Sasha Morgan
Unfortunately this is a book that at 45%, I decided to DNF. There were a few things that occurred earlier on in the book that I felt a little jolted by but decided that as the characters were only side characters, to let it pass and keep reading but then something was said during the main character story line and I just realised that the book just was not for me.
The Neighbours by Nicola Gill
I really enjoyed this book. It was a very wonderful contemporary read. I loved watching as the neighbours got to know each other more and helped each other in ways they didn’t expect. You can read my full thoughts on the book here.
The Vanishing Stair by Maureen Johnson
I didn’t manage to finish the book but I have about three hours left of the audiobook and I am completely hooked. I love how the mystery is unfolding and I really enjoy reading things from Stevie’s perspective as well. She really brings the story to life. I cannot wait to finish the book and move onto the last book in the series!
All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban
Yet another book that I haven’t yet finished. But the start is absolutely riveting. I am very intrigued as to what is going to happen between all of these characters. Who trapped them in the room? How will it all conclude? I am very much hoping to finish this one soon!
Wicked As You Wish by Run Chupeco
Lastly, but certainly not least, I also started this book. I’m not that far into it yet and it seems to be a little bit of a slow read but it is also very interesting and one that I am very much invested in. So I am definitely looking forward to seeing how it ends!

I’m very excited to pick up Dear Edward soonish! I’ve heard very good things about the book and I think the premise of the novel is incredibly interesting – there’s a high chance that I’ll be an emotional wreck halfway through it. I also want to read the Maureen Johnson series you mentioned here; Truly Devious has been on my TBR for some time now because I absolutely love mysteries and clues and riddles and solving cases in any form of media and I think it’s finally time to dive into that world.
