Blogspiration #16; Eternal Love
This weekend has been a special one for me and my family and while this blogspiration isn’t exactly to do with books and films, it should have a place on my blog as it was truly amazing. If you follow me on twitter you may know that I was at a wedding on Friday. This was my uncle’s wedding and the first wedding I have attended fully (been to receptions but not weddings!). And it was really really inspiring and beautiful.
Their vows showed that they knew each other and accepted and loved everything about their partner, including their imperfections. It was amazing and it just made me think about the people in my life that I love. I struggle to get attached to people and I know that I just have so many flaws and imperfections and I struggle to believe that someone could ever like everything about me. But it was so beautiful to see that it does happen for some people.
Weddings and love are inspirational and the day I find someone who looks at me like that and loves me that deeply, I may just consider bending my no-marriage rule. What do you feel about weddings? Have you been to one? Had one? What are your thoughts on marriage?
All I know is that it is great to know that deep love, not lust, is actually out there and I wish my uncle and new auntie all the happiness in the world. May my aunt enjoy this dysfunctional family she’s married into!

That is an awesome cake. I like wedding so much better when they seem to have more personal touches than just the usual traditions.

The cake looks delicious and the centerpiece is beautiful. I’ve only been to two weddings, but I enjoy them. I hope to get married someday, and I want to have a small, but nice wedding.

Faye!! I really love this post!! It’s so funny because I always get this renewed sense of hope and mushy-lovey feelings when I go to a wedding. YES, true love is out there! It’s just a matter of waiting to find that special person :D
