Waiting on Wednesday #14

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine where you can spotlight a book that you’re giddy with excitement to read so that other people can be giddy with excitement too :)
As I run a book and film blog, I do this meme including books and films that I am waiting on. This week I have one book for your viewing pleasure and one film. Hope that you like them too! :D

Summary: (From Goodreads)
There are no men in Claysoot. There are boys—but every one of them vanishes at midnight on his eighteenth birthday. The ground shakes, the wind howls, a blinding light descends…and he’s gone.

They call it the Heist.

Gray Weathersby’s eighteenth birthday is mere months away, and he’s prepared to meet his fate–until he finds a strange note from his mother and starts to question everything he’s been raised to accept: the Council leaders and their obvious secrets. The Heist itself. And what lies beyond the Wall that surrounds Claysoot–a structure that no one can cross and survive.

Climbing the Wall is suicide, but what comes after the Heist could be worse. Should he sit back and wait to be taken–or risk everything on the hope of the other side?

Why?: Ummm… HELLO. First off – that cover is A-MAZING. Like, holy crap it is simply stunning and I am only praying that the real thing is just as pretty! Then… then we read the synopsis and my head is pounding with questions and curiousness and I just need this book in my life. Why, oh why, is it not released until 2013? And with it being HarperTeen there’s a chance it may not make it across the pond to me. Eeek. This is just too sad!!

Why?: Yeah… this just looks… so emotional and crippling and just brilliant. I haven’t read the book but I own it now so I will be reading it before the film for definite! I am so looking forward to this. I just can feel myself being an emotional wreck, can’t you?

what are you waiting on?
