Waiting on Wednesday #11

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine where you can spotlight a book that you’re giddy with excitment to read so that other people can be giddy with excitement too :)

As I run a book and film blog, I do this meme including books and films that I am waiting on. This week I have two books for your viewing pleasure and one film. Hope that you like them too! :D

Summary: (Goodreads)
Mira Johns is pretty much like any other teenage girl. Except that she knows how to harness electro-magnetic energy to communicate without words. And she’s really, really far from home. Her assignment as an emissary to Earth sounds fairly simple: blend in, observe, and stay away from the planet’s primitive males. But after she finds one mysterious boy too irresistible for stupid rules, she realizes the real reason she’s supposed to keep her distance: mates from her world can die if separated. But a series of serious accidents make it clear that someone wants to force her return. Mira decides her only hope is to uncover the truth to why she, the most mediocre of candidates, was actually chosen for this assignment—before the agency discovers her secret and sends her back home.
Why?: Umm… well both of these look and sound amazing! Like… Last Summer seems really intriguing with a nice, short but concise synopsis that doesn’t give too much away. And then Extranormal? Well… I don’t really think there are words to describe how freaking awesome this book looks and sounds and I am DEFINITELY interested in this one. Ohh yes!!

Why?: Uhhh… it’s a comic adaptation of the original storytale and looks MILES better than the other one with that annoying Kristen Stewart in! Hehe. I love Julia Roberts and I think that she looks really good in this! I am definitely interested to see how this pans out! :D
