Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine where you can spotlight a book that you’re giddy with excitment to read so that other people can be giddy with excitement too :)

As I run a book and film blog, I do this meme including books and films that I am waiting on. This week I have two books for your viewing pleasure and one film. Hope that you like them too! :D

Summary: (Goodreads)

A powerful debut novel about the gray space between truth and perception.

Quinn’s done the unthinkable: she kissed a guy who is not Carey, her boyfriend. And she got caught. Being branded a cheater would be bad enough, but Quinn is deemed a traitor, and shunned by all of her friends. Because Carey’s not just any guy—he’s serving in Afghanistan and revered by everyone in their small, military town.

Quinn could clear her name, but that would mean revealing secrets that she’s vowed to keep—secrets that aren’t hers to share. And when Carey goes MIA, Quinn must decide how far she’ll go to protect her boyfriend…and her promise.

Why?: Both of these books just sound so good! Gone Gone Gone just fills me with … I don’t know what … a yearning to know what’s going to happen! Not only does this novel sound like it’s going to deal with a contemporary issue, but two? Yeah, I really like the sound of that! And If I Lie just sounds really good and I am really intrigued by what the secrets are, aren’t you? Like ooooh! On the edge of my seat here!! :D Shame I have to wait so long for If I Lie, but I’m sure I can manage it!!
