Author Interview: Bettina Hunt

Today I am pleased to welcome Bettina Hunt on to the blog with a quick interview! She’s come up with some fascinating answers!

Q&A

What is your favourite thing about writing books?
I love bringing alive an idea that has been bouncing around in my head, exploring the possibilities and ultimately creating a novel that hopefully people will enjoy.

Who is your favourite character in your book and why?
In Without A Hitch my favourite character is Agnes. She lives a great life and isn’t afraid to push for what she wants. I like that she is a little feisty.

What is your favourite drink to consume while writing?
I love drinking tea or when it’s really cold, a luxuriously thick and velvety hot chocolate.

Do you have any bad habits while you’re writing?
Procrastinating but then when the ideas take hold I am 100% focused.

Are you a plotter or a pantser?
I am definitely a pantser, I never know what is going to happen when I begin writing. I let the characters lead me. I just love when I am lying in bed trying to sleep and an idea takes hold and I have to write it down before I forget, no really I do!

If you could befriend any fictional character, who would you choose and why?
The Jackal in Day Of The Jackal as I really, really, really want to know who he really is. It’s been bugging me ever since I read the book…
