Bout of Books,  Readathon

Bout of Books 10 Sign Up! (With a twist!)

Bout of Books

Hey Guys!
It’s that time again! Bout of Books time! This time it is being held from May 12th to May 18th.

If you don’t know what Bout of Books is, check out the blurb here;

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 12th and runs through Sunday, May 18th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 10 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team.

Now I’m sure you’ve gotten to here and you’re still wondering what the “twist” is, right? While the officialy Bout of Books doesn’t have a twist, I have decided to add one myself!

And by that I mean that I am restricting my reading for that week.
By THAT I mean…

I am only allowed to read LIBRARY books during Bout of Books.

I was going to try and get through my pile of library books in May anyway so I figured that this read-a-thon is the perfect opportunity to do that! So yay!

Will you be joining me with Bout of Books?

  • Michelle (Fluttering Butterflies)

    I don’t often take part in readathons but I always kind of mean to. It just seems like a lot of fun to read as a collective group. Plus I like the idea of setting myself challenges like finishing books in a series, or catching up on Netgalley books or reading books with LGBT characters like some of this year’s challenges I’ve done already. Will have a wee think about what sort of books I really want to get through soon and might just join you in this!

  • Anya

    Yay, I love readathons! And a good twist, I wish you luck! Same as Michelle, will have a think about a type of book – probably ebooks, I’m lacking behind on those at the moment – and join in again!

  • Deyse

    I’m so excited to be joining this read-a-thon, I always only find out about it too later the other times but not now, and it couldn’t have come in a more perfect time!
