March Monthly Wrap Up
So I ummed and ahhed about whether or not to start doing monthly wrap-ups on the blog but have eventually decided that in an effort to keep my blog more organised, to keep on top of challenges and to do a nice re-cap of the month for you all, that I would do them :-). Therefore, this post will be set out like my weekly highlights post, split into headings in an attempt to keep everything organised easily :D
Monthly Highlights
Another month has come to an end! And what a month it was! I have been super busy this month – aren’t I always? – sorting out moving house and work stuff! There was my charity run and the fact I hurt my ankle…
Anyway… posting wise…
I think it was a fairly good month for the blog – and it was definitely a good month reading wise! Next month I’ll be slowing both my reading and my blogging so that I can a) give my blog some tlc and b) move into my flat and get that all sorted! and c) london book fair! But shall we finish up what happened in March?
My top three posts this month were;
Drummer Girl by Bridget Tyler
Top Ten Contemporary Reads
Book-to-Movie Adaptations; Read Before or After
I’ve gotten behind on both my vlog channels and my tumblr this month. I was posting sporadically but not really to a schedule. But I think that’s still okay! I’ve had a lot on my mind though so those things were sort of pushed to the back of my mind for a while!
This month I went to the Hot Key Books, Templar, and Piccadilly books event which was really great! I had such a great time! I also went to the Watermarks Books 2 year birthday party thing and that was fun too! It’s always really great to be given a chance to meet up with my fellow bloggers. And I also went to the first meeting for a new book club! I’m super excited for this as it’s lots of us london based bloggers! Aside from that, I’m not sure I’ve done much other bookish things – mostly because I was housebound for a little while and then didn’t want to trek to london in case my ankle wasn’t ready for it! But that’s okay, got more things planned for April!
I read ten and a half books again this month! Which is crazy considering how busy I feel I’ve been! But I did have a bit more time of work than I’ll be getting next month! Mostly I’m super happy because I re-read the entire Noughts and Crosses series! There were times when I just wasn’t sure I’d be able to do it but I did and that makes me super happy!
Favourite Book
I enjoyed this book from the moment that I started reading it. I was instantly transported into the world and just found myself thinking about the book even when I wasn’t reading it. I became completely invested in this story and the characters and felt all the emotions under the sun as I read it. On too many occasions I wanted to reach through the pages and cuddle everyone until they just felt better. I loved the style of this book and just found it to be so easy to read and relate to and understand. It was everything I had hoped to feel about Perks that I just didn’t. A more precise review of this book will appear on the blog at some point this month, but for now know that it is a fantastic book you should keep an eye on!
Read in March
Coming Soon…
April TBR
Essentially I change what I’m going to read ALL the time but these books are the ones I will DEFINITELY be reading this month, no matter what! If there’s one you think I should read STRAIGHT AWAY, let me know!
I’ll also be reading at least ONE LGBT book and I want to read another adult book as well!
And that concludes my month!
