Michelle Tells Us All!
Hey Guys!
So today we have the lovely Michelle from Much Loved Books. She is here for you today with an interview. All of the bloggers I contacted were given the same questions as I thought it would be fun to get different opinions on the same things.
Hope you enjoy all of the questions and all of the answers.
The summer is often a great time for reading. What are five books you would recommend others to read this summer?
Of Poseidon and Of Triton by Anna Banks, I demolished both of these books in just over a day, with Of Poseidon being a re-read. Geek Girl by Holly Smale is another great read and makes us see the geek inside us all. Losing It series by Cora Carmack, Lengths series by Steph Campbell and Liz Reinhardt and finally Slammed series by Colleen Hoover.
Do you know how hard it is just to pick 5 books, if you squash the series together that will make a book each ;)
While our wishlists are already towering over, are they any new releases happening this summer that you’re really looking forward to?
That’s a tough question, there are so many books being released its hard to pick a few. Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas is a must read, Allegiant by Veronica Roth, Magic Rises by Ilona Andrews, Winds of Salem by Melissa de la Cruz, The Iron Traitor by Julie Kagawa, Tempt the Stars by Karen Chance, Resist by Sarah Crossan. I know I have cheated and probably most of these books are not summer releases, but I really need to read them right now.
Sometimes the weather can turn a little dreadful. Are they any books you would recommend to read to counteract this weather?
Define dreadful, I am not a summer person so a bit of rain is fine for me, but I do love snow, so for me the perfect reads would involve some of this like Falling by Jolene Perry. Other books would be Crash, Clash and Crush by Nicole Williams, with a hot male lead in the form of Jude, it’s easy to fall into this world and not come back to reality for a while.
Name your top three authors.
David Eddings, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Kelly Armstrong. You would not believe how hard it was to pick the third name for that question. Although if I named all my favourite authors it would be a VERY long list.
When it comes to blogging, are you someone who posts spontaneously or do you schedule ahead?
I like to be prepared so I try to have posts planned ahead, that way if I get in a reading slump the lack of books or slow reading time won’t affect the blog, although its not always possible to have my posts scheduled. I am also bad for leaving reviews to the very last minute when I think I have time to spare so it’s a double edged sword, I plan ahead and leave reviews, or post reviews the night before but end up stressing if I forget or am late getting it posted.
What are your three favourite reviews that you have written since you started blogging
Department 19 by Will Hill was probably my first 5 star review.
Anthem for Jackson Dawes by Celia Bryce was a very emotional read for me, and I tried to do it justice without spoiling it for others.
With All My Soul by Rachel Vincent was the final book in the series, but after finishing reading it was the first time I have wanted to drop all my TBR and review books and start the series from scratch again.
My name is Michelle and I run Much Loved Books which as been going for just over two years. I read a lot of different genres which shows in my eclectic mix of reviews. I spend far too much money on books and too much time on the internet. I am constantly forgetting about books I have on my iPad, I easily have nearly a thousand between two apps.
Except reading, my other loves are my cat, my niece and nephew and snow.
