My Thoughts

Having loved the first book in this series, I was very excited about reading this book and am very pleased to report that the second book in the series is just as good as the first. While the first was full of finding out about the Star Friends, the second book was full of abilities strengthening, friendships growing stronger and a bucket load of adventure as well. Linda Chapman has done a fantastic job with this series which is both entertaining and exciting. It is a book I am positive that many young children would really enjoy. In this book in particular, she also shows how wishes do not always come out how we want and I think that was such a wonderful message. I would definitely recommend this book, even if you haven’t dived into the first one!

My Thoughts

As mentioned above, by the time I got to this third book in the series, I was already a big fan. I love the idea of having Star Friends and I love the way the four friends have grown closer in the series and really work together to find out what is going on. I also absolutely love how their powers continue to grow in this book. Most interestingly, I love how well Linda Chapman leaves clues to the reader about the bad magic going on and who it is likely to be. It leaves the reader on tender hooks as they witness the friends trying to solve the puzzle. I absolutely loved also where trying to work out the mystery led the friends in this book and am definitely intrigued as to know what will happen next! If you’re looking for an adventure-filled, interesting and magical read, you definitely should give this whole series a try!
