Weekly Highlights; The Big Announcement Edition
Weekly Highlights is a new feature here at A Daydreamer’s Thoughts and will be a post highlighting things that happened on and off the blog. It is inspired by The Story Sirens In My Mailbox, Books, Biscuit and Tea’s Showcase Sunday, Kimba Caffeinated’s Sunday Post, and the British Letterbox Love.
In the feature I won’t mention everything I received, nor every post I wrote during the week but will simply feature a selection of things I wish to spotlight a second time around.
Post Highlights
Got a fair few posts up this week, which I’m happy about and I announced some big news! All very exciting stuff.
I posted ONE review this week;
Pride (2014) (FIVE HEARTS)
I also had a review go live at Big Book Little Book. Find out what I thought of Where Love Lies by Julie Cohen, here.
On Tuesday I participated in Top Ten Tuesday and listed the top books on my Fall TBR.
And on Thursday I was given the chance to reveal the gorgeous new cover from Cora Carmack‘s exciting new Paranormal NA. You can seee the cover here.
And finally, the big news! You can read all about it in this post, but basically, I’m starting a new adventure!

It has been a fairly busy and exciting week of books for me! I am super excited about many of these titles!
Us by David Nichols; There are not enough words to describe HOW EXCITED I am for this book! I was one of twelve lucky people to get the book a week before release (and it’s signed!) and I know that I will be diving into this as my next read. I have been waiting SO LONG.
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard; I found out about this book this week and requested it straight away because it sounds AMAZING. I am very much looking forward to reading this one!
Children Act by Ian McEwan; Ian writes the most beautiful prose and so I’m really looking forward to reading this new one of his and just falling in love with his writing again. Already heard that it is a good one!
Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan; After seeing Sarah at an author event and seeing how EXCITED my friends were about the final book, I was excited when this book came into the library and knew I had to take it out straight away. Really looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about!
These Days Are Ours by Michelle Haimoff; Admittedly I know nothing about this book but I LOVED the cover with the instagram style photos and the summary sounded intriguing so I thought I’d see what it’s like. Have you read it?
Code Red Lipstick by Sarah Sky; Heard a lot of good things about this one and so am looking forward to diving into it and seeing what it is all about.
Girl with a White Dog by Anne Booth; Another book that I have heard amazing things about from multiple sources so I finally decided to check it out myself and see what all the fuss is about!
Cloven by Georgeann Swiger; Obviously not the cover above (that’s the first book in the series!) I’m super looking forward to reading this one as I really liked the first book in the series. This is also the book of my first true client which is super exciting!
This is Your Afterlife by Vanessa Barneveld; Saw this on Netgalley and couldn’t resist requesting it. I mean… ghosts… is like… my codeword. Really intrigued about this one and cannot wait to see if I like it!
Currently Reading
I read a few books at a time so I have decided that I want to showcase them a little on the blog and so from now on I thought I would tell you all what I’m currently reading (on Saturday/Sunday!)
This week I am currently reading;
And there you have it, my Weekly Highlights!

Really enjoyed your Top Ten Tuesday post, as there are a lot of books on it that I’m interested in reading too. I hadn’t realised that there was some controversy about The Iron Trial, but that just makes me more curious.
Congratulations on launching Faye Rogers! The site looks really interesting, and I hope it goes well for you.
It looks like you’ve got nine great books this week. I’m a SRB fan, so I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of Unspoken – she’s also pretty awesome on Twitter too. Hope you enjoy all your books and have a great week!

I loved Unspoken – it’s such an excellent trilogy. I hope you love if as much as I did!
