Book Blogger Love-A-Thon
2 February, 2012
Valentine’s Day is one of those annoying commercialised holiday’s that pops up to remind all those single people what they don’t have and all the couples how lucky (or unlucky if the case may be) they may be to have their significant other. I, for one, have never really celebrated the holiday, preferring instead to just treat it the same as every other day but then, I’ve also never been in a relationship on Valentine’s Day so never had any reason to do anything special. This year, however, everything is going to change. (Don’t get me wrong, I will be spending it alone again, but I will be doing something instead of ignoring it). This year, Katelyn at Kate’s Tales of Books and Bands, is hosting a Book Blogger Love-A-Thon and I am going to participate in it because if there is one thing I love, it is my fellow book bloggers!
The aim of this is for bloggers to spread love to fellow bloggers for an entire day! That day is February 17th! It will be a day devoted to commenting on other blogs, following new blogs and tweeters and facebook pages and just declaring love for all of the bloggers that you love and enjoy.
This is something that I am looking forward to doing. I generally try to comment as much as I can and I love telling fellow bloggers how much I love their blogs (you know, if I do! Flattery just for the sake of flattery isn’t something I’m good at, sorry!) because, I for one, know how good I feel when someone compliments me on my blog or my posts, or well, even if I just get a comment on any posts I do!

Valentine’s Day is just a day created by Hallmark. Okay, I guess that sounds a little bitter. While the thought behind it is nice, there shouldn’t have to be a special day to tell someone you love them. Plus, they don’t have a category for people who have a significant other but still don’t get to spend the holiday with them. (I’m in an LDR.) I really like the idea of showing blog love though :)

Yay!!! Thanks for signing up for the Book Blogger Love-A-Thon! While I try to do it as often as possible, I have been slacking in the comment department. I cannot wait to tell fellow bloggers how much I love them!
