Blogspiration #20; friendship versus superhero

Blogspiration is a weekly meme hosted by GrowingUp YA & Saz101. This meme was created to help spark inspiration among bloggers, readers and writers alike. An inspirational quote/picture/video is posted weekly, on the day of the authors choosing, so that it may inspire creativity, conversation & just a little SOMETHING.

You may, or may not know that in the twitterverse, I am known as Fayezer; the most astonishing and -inmyopinion- amazing superhero that ever did live. *cough*
So, when I saw this inspiring birthday card in a local stationary shop a few weeks back, I was instantly filled with giggles. Since I didn’t, tragically, have my camera on me I simply wrote down the quote which I present to you all now!

friend superhero
*quote not owned by me, graphic made by me*

I love this quote and believe in it wholeheartedly.
Superheroes may be great and amazing (myself included :P) but a lot of the time, we don’t want or need superheroes, we just need our friends.
But what’s even better than superheroes AND friends?
A superhero wrapped in a friend.

Example.
You’re extremely upset and just need some comfort. A friend gives it to you, makes you feel better, pulls you out of that black hole. In that moment that friend is amazing and the best person in your life for that moment.
That friend, is, quite simply, a superhero; your superhero.

So the next time you are horrible to your friends, or take them for granted, stop and think to yourself – where will they be when you need them and can’t find a suitable superhero?

Treasure your friends, they are special, unique and utterly inspiring.

But more importantly, be more than just a superhero to your friends when they need you. Be a friend first and a superhero second.
They will never forget it and be there for you when you need it too.

Sometimes being a friend is even better than being a superhero.

*hopefully you deciphered this rambling monologue of things. lol*

    Brilliant Blogspiration post.

As you say, friendship with the right words is heroism enough and the most ordinary emotional heroism can be as effective as some of the greatest acts of courage or physical heroism.

FAYEZER!! I love this. I love you.

A superhero wrapped in a friend.

Seriously, I love that. And it’s so… YOU. You’re my friend AND my superhero, and I’d take a a British girl who knocks down her enemies with a hardcover book by day than an alien boy from Krypton. Because MY superhero doesn’t just save the day and flies away, she sticks around through all the everyday stuff too <3
