Graphic Novel Read-A-Thon

Graphic Novel Read-A-Thon

Hello all! Another read-a-thon announcement post from me today! This time to announce that I plan on participating in the Graphic Novel Read-a-Thon being hosted by Lauren at Northern Plunder! You can find her announcement about the readathon here.

So the aim of the read-a-thon is to, you guessed it – read some graphic novels!

These are the challenges that Lauren has set:

  • Finish a graphic novel that matches Lauren’s hair (purple, blue, or turquoise)
  • Read your newest graphic novel
  • Complete your oldest graphic novel
  • Catch up with your favourite series
  • Read a graphic novel that was recommended to you
  • Try a new to your author or genre
  • Read all your unread graphic novels

My TBR
I will probably not be able to do all of these challenges but I’m going to attempt some of them! Here’s a list of the novels I am hoping to read this month.

Read your newest graphic novel & Read a graphic novel that was recommended to you & Try a new to your author or genre I have recently been recommended this so I quickly got it from Netgalley and plan to read and review it this month!

Catch up with your favourite series
I don’t think I could completely catch up this month as there are so many more to read but I am going to try and read another couple of chapters of Giant Days this month – especially as I haven’t read any in a while!

Finish a graphic novel that matches Lauren’s hair (purple, blue, or turquoise) & Ones I’ve Been Meaning to Read For A While
So I have created my own challenge for this one! I have been meaning to read the Scott Pilgrim books since I saw the film when it came out so I think this month might just be the perfect time to start. And to fit in with Lauren’s challenge, I have to read volumes one and two!
I may add some more or read others but that will do for now!

Will you be reading any graphic novels this month?

Ooh I haven’t read any of these yet! My library selection of graphic novels is pretty rubbish and I never know what to take a gamble on when shopping. I’ve seen a lot of recommendations for Giant Days though and Mooncakes is everywhere so maybe I should give those a go.
