Hogwarts-A-Thon TBR!

Hogwarts-A-Thon TBR

I’, so excited to tell you all about the new read-a-thon I have discovered; Hogwarts-A-Thon!

It is running throughout September and is being hosted by Laureads_ and Niffler_reads!

As it’s starting soon, I wanted to share with you all what I hope to read for it.

For this challenge there are a selection of prompts (below) but I will probably only be aiming to read a few of these but I’m choosing books for each prompt – just in case I have time!

My TBR Choices

Platform 9 3/4 – A Sequel

For this one I am choosing Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab which I am dying to read!

Welcome to Hogwarts – A book over 394 pages

I’ve had a little flick through the books on my immediate TBR and have decided that as I need to read this for a blog tour, I am going to choose Gumiho: Wicked Fox by Kat Cho because I have heard so many good things!

Sorting Hat – A book with your house colour on the front

So I’m hoping that I might be lucky and have this book in my possession next month and if I do then I plan to read A Heart So Fierce and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer for this prompt. If not I will need to think of a new green book stat!

Ghosts of Hogwarts – A Contemporary

For this one I am planning to read Alex in Wonderland by Simon James Green which I have been meaning to read for a while now.

Mr Ollivander – A book over 2 years old

I have a plethora of books that would fit this category so it is likely that this book might just change but for the moment, I am choosing The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer – because I’ve had in audible for far too long!

Diagon Alley – A book with a lot of hype

For this one I plan to read Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan. I think my best friend might disown me if I don’t read this soon.

Flourish & Blotts – A random book from TBR/Jar

I don’t have a TBR jar and I’m not very good at randomly picking up books – mostly as I am a big mood reader. So I have asked a friend to randomly choose a book they want me to read and if I owned it, I would read it. She chose Red White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston which I do have so this is what I’ll hopefully read for this.

BONUS – Forbidden Forest – A book with dark themes

I am not so sure that I will get around to this one but this is also one that has been sitting on my Audible collection for a long time so for this I am choosing, The Tattoist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris.

Are you participating? What book should I start with?

I’m not participating because I’m A Mood Reader, and I’m also on a reader slump/burnout, so… I’m just rereading favorites to get back in the game.
But Red White and Royal Blue is on my TBR, a lot of people have loved it!
