Weekly Highlights; The Easter Edition
Weekly Highlights is a new feature here at A Daydreamer’s Thoughts and will be a post highlighting things that happened on and off the blog. It is inspired by The Story Sirens In My Mailbox, Books, Biscuit and Tea’s Showcase Sunday, Kimba Caffeinated’s Sunday Post, and the British Letterbox Love.
In the feature I won’t mention everything I received, nor every post I wrote during the week but will simply feature a selection of things I wish to spotlight a second time around.
Post Highlights
Being that it was easter last weekend and the beginning of the month, it’s been a little hectic around here but I’m happy because I managed to get all of the necessary posts up and I had some really great fun with my family as well! Things are settling down now so I should hopefully be getting the blog up and running fully again very shortly! Are you as excited as I am? I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the blog and I have some exciting things on the horizon! Yay! Anyway, here’s what happened this week;
I wrote ONE review this week;
The Secret of Ella and Micha by Jessica Sorenson (FOUR HEARTS)
On Sunday I posted my Monthly Wrap-Up, go find out how March went for me by clicking here
I FINALLY got around to writing up the Random House Blogger Brunch meet up! To find out more about what happened and to hear all about Amy McCulloch‘s and Jonathan Stroud‘s new books, head over to here
This week for my thoughtful friday I told you all about my odd habit of reading more than one book at a time! To join in the discussion and let me know your thoughts on reading multiple books at once, click here. Come help me feel a little less crazy – if you can!
Blogger Spotlight
A new month means a new spotlight and this month I am spotlighting the wonderful Laura from Bookish Treasures! You can check out why I’ve chosen her by here
Upcoming
I’m participating in a really interesting blog tour on Wednesday for a fun book that I’ve been enjoying and look forward to telling you all about it so keep your eyes peeled for the post!
I’ll also be treating you to a lovely interview with my new Blogger Spotlight! Keep an eye out for that Saturday!
And, if all goes as planned, I should also have an announcement going up on the blog at some point this week as well! Just keep a watch out :D
Around the Blogosphere
Everyone reads differently and in different ways but are you a mood reader? This week Chey posted That’s What Chey Said; Mood Reading where she discusses this very topic. Head on over if you want to have your say.
I’m certain that just as we all have reading quirks, all us bloggers have blogging quirks too. Thus I really loved reading Kailia’s post here on her blogging quirks. Why not head over to read them all and see if you share any of them!
We all blog for different amounts of time depending on how much we have to spare. Due to something she read Kat decided to look at how much time she spends blogging to see if it is enough. Check out this lovely post on A Day in the Life of a Book Blogger for an interesting look on how she spends her time!
Letterbox Love
I got some exciting books this week! Not many, but just exciting! I know my TBR pile is toppling over now but I have a week off coming up so I’m hoping that in that week I can just destroy the pile a little bit. One can pray anyway!
Spirit by Brigid Kemmerer; talk about running around the room when I got the “request accepted” on Netgalley for this one! I am in AWE of Brigid and she has VERY QUICKLY become one of my ultimate favourite authors. I cannot WAIT to dig into this one – but DILEMMA, she’s not releasing book 4 until next year, how will I survive the wait? :P
House of Secrets by Ned Vizzini and Chris Columbus; Yes, Yes yes! Doesn’t this just sound so amazing? And the guy that directed the first Harry Potter? I am there :D
Walk Away With Me by Darby Davenport; I’ve already read and reviewed this one and loved it! This is a signed copy sent by the author with an amazingly lovely personal message inside. It was such a great post to recieve! And it came with bookmarks!
I hope to visit all posts of this manner, so feel free to link to your own IMMs, Sunday Showcase, Sunday Posts, Letterbox Loves or whatever it is you do below!
what did you get this week? what cool blog posts did you stumble upon? what are you waiting to happen this week?

OMG. *squeals* You got Spirit? I am SOOOO excited for you right now, and also kind of jealous, because I cannot wait for that book. Hunter has always been my favourite of the boys.

Eeeee. I am itching to just READ IT but I have so many books on the go at the moment, I’m thinking it will be a BAD idea! But now I’m like… RUSHING my other books, which is sooo not good. haha. Maybe I’ll just start it soon and put myself out of my misery! lol.
Will let you know if it’s worth it – but I think it MUST be! :D
