Wrap-Up

April Monthly Wrap Up

monthly-wrap-up

So I ummed and ahhed about whether or not to start doing monthly wrap-ups on the blog but have eventually decided that in an effort to keep my blog more organised, to keep on top of challenges and to do a nice re-cap of the month for you all, that I would do them :-). Therefore, this post will be set out like my weekly highlights post, split into headings in an attempt to keep everything organised easily :D

Monthly Highlights

It’s been another busy one for me this month and I’m still struggling to settle down into a pattern but I’m trying! I think I may just stop posting daily for now on but we’ll see how that pans out. Lately I end up scheduling posts in the morning for that day and it’s stressing me a little bit. But we’ll see. Hope you stick with me though!

This month I attended the London Book Festival which was a very new and interesting experience! You can read up about it here. I also attended an Abbi Glines signing which was really fun – and kind of made my head spin at how quickly she churns out books! But she’s a lovely person and it was great to meet her.

My top three favourite posts I wrote this month are;
One Book, Two Books, Three Books, Four
Top Ten Superhero Movies
Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa

This month I read nine books, meaning I am now three books behind schedule on my Goodreads challenge.

Favourite Book

in the shadows When it came to deciding on the best book I read this month, I realised I haven’t read many amazing books this month which made choosing incredibly easy. I was absolutely blown away by In the Shadows of Blackbirds by Cat Winters. It is a book that has a strong narrative, an addictive heroine, and an atmosphere to the entire book that draws you in and makes you feel as though it could have actually happened. I don’t usually read historical fiction but I love paranormal ghost stories and that was the reason I picked this book up, but in all honesty it was so much better than I had anticipated.

To know why else I loved this book, you can check out my review of the book here

Blogger Spotlight

This month’s blogger spotlight was Laura! It was a treat to be able to host her on the blog this week and I hope that a few of you found a wonderful new blog to follow.
