Weekly Highlights; The Two-Week Edition
Weekly Highlights is a new feature here at A Daydreamer’s Thoughts and will be a post highlighting things that happened on and off the blog. It is inspired by The Story Sirens In My Mailbox, Books, Biscuit and Tea’s Showcase Sunday, Kimba Caffeinated’s Sunday Post, and the British Letterbox Love.
In the feature I won’t mention everything I received, nor every post I wrote during the week but will simply feature a selection of things I wish to spotlight a second time around.
Post Highlights
So I was too busy last week to post a highlights *cries a little* so this week I will be doing a bit of a bigger weekly highlights by highlighting all that happened in the last two weeks! (Or the important stuff anyway!)
I wrote TWO reviews;
Iron Man 3 (2013) (FOUR HEARTS)
Spirit by Brigid Kemmerer (FIVE HEARTS)

Book Tuber & Book Blogger Meet Up
Yesterday I made my way to London to meet up with some book tubers and book bloggers and I had a really good day! It was the first time that us book tubers had met up and it was nice to finally see people outside of their vlogs and to be able to just chat to people! I have to admit to being totally overwhelmed but I was also in an introverted mood and didn’t do as much talking as I do when I meet up with book bloggers – and I think I was probably more than a little star struck by all the awesome tubers there! – but I still had fun and made some new friends and that is all good!
We started in Hyde Park and then headed to M&S to get food for a picnic, then headed to Daunt Books (which is the most lovely book shop!) and then made our way to Regents Park for the picnic! From there we picked ourselves up and headed to Piccadily where we went to another indie bookshop I had never heard of before and had another wander around. Next up was the familiar Waterstones Piccadiliy (the biggest one in London) and then I met up with Daphne, fresh from her Honeymoon – kind of – and we went to grab a frappochino and have a good old catch up before I headed home! All in all, a great day that I’m glad I went along to!
Letterbox Love
I actually got too many books in the last two weeks but I don’t plan to highlight them all – mostly because they’re all scattered in different places and I don’t have the energy to put them all in the same place at the moment. So instead I’m just going to quickly highlight the ones I’m super excited about.
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas; I have been WAITING to read this book since I finished the first book in the series. Thank you to Bloomsbury for the ARC copy!
Just Listen by Sarah Dessen; Found this amazing cover in Waterstones Piccadilly and HAD to buy it! I’m trying to read through Sarah Dessen’s collection of books as I just love them all so much!
All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill; This was a review copy from Bloomsbury but it looks absolutely AMAZING and I cannot wait to get stuck into it! Thanks Bloomsbury!
How to Be Invisible by Tom Lott; I got this at the Walker Roadshow I attended last thursday (JUST), and is one I was actually going to request when I recieved the catalogue as I’m super intrigued by it! Looking forward to reading this one! Thank you Walker!
I hope to visit all posts of this manner, so feel free to link to your own IMMs, Sunday Showcase, Sunday Posts, Letterbox Loves or whatever it is you do below!
what did you get this week? what cool blog posts did you stumble upon? what are you waiting to happen this week?

I can’t wait to see what you think of All Our Yesterdays! I’m really looking forward to reading that one myself. And I’ve heard Just Listen is one of Sarah Dessen’s best books, so I hope you enjoy it! It sounds like you had a fab time in London too, I really want to visit the Piccadilly Waterstones!
