Weekly Highlights; The Late Edition

weekly highlights
Weekly Highlights is a feature here at A Daydreamer’s Thoughts and will be a post highlighting things that happened on and off the blog. It is inspired by The Story Sirens In My Mailbox, Books, Biscuit and Tea’s Showcase Sunday, Kimba Caffeinated’s Sunday Post, and the British Letterbox Love.
In the feature I won’t mention everything I received, nor every post I wrote during the week but will simply feature a selection of things I wish to spotlight a second time around.

Post Highlights

I’ve had a busy week on the blog this week and, fortunately, since changing my blog up a bit, I’ve been feeling far more motivated and happy with blogging again. I’ve had SO MANY ideas and this has just made me feel very happy about my blogging. I cannot wait to share with you all everything going on in my head!

So, this week;

I posted ONE review;
Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) (FOUR HEARTS)

I told you all that I’m running the race for life in June and asked if you would be nice enough to sponsor me. You can read my story about that here.

And I posted a recipe for Stuffed Mushrooms. I love them SO MUCH. But I also just LOVE mushrooms so that would make sense. Anyway, find out how to make stuffed mushrooms that make your mouth water by clicking here.

LGBT Readathon

The LGBT Readathon starts TOMORROW.

I am SO EXCITED.

I will also be posting up my goals tomorrow and the books that I have to select from, but really, I just cannot wait to dive into these books.

With that in mind, this week I posted my top ten LGBT reads. Find out what they are here.

And, if you haven’t signed up for the readathon yet, you can do so here.

I also had the lovely Sofia on the blog again this week. She wrote a wonderful guest post about five-star reads. You should make sure you check that out here.

Letterbox Love

I got a few books this week. Two review copies, one library book and I bought three books on kindle too. One of these days I will learn how to stop…

The Lost and the Found P.S I Still Love You The Last Summer of Us

The Lost and the Found by Cat Clark; I am very much looking forward to this book, it sounds incredible and I really enjoyed Torn so I’m looking forward to what else this author has in store. Many thanks to Hachette for this review copy.

P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han; I actually haven’t read the first one in this series but I do have it to read so I’ll probably get to that soon. Many thanks to Scholastic for this review copy.

The Last Summer of Us by Maggie Harcourt; I’ve been dying to read this one so I was very happy when this finally arrived at the library! I started reading the first chapter and got hooked instantly. Cannot wait to finish the rest of it.

All Fall Down Skullduggery Pleasant The Last Telegram

All Fall Down by Jennifer Weiner; This book caught my eye in the library. It sounds like the perfect book for me so when I saw it was on Kindle for less than £2 I couldn’t resist. Cannot wait to see what this book is all about.

Skullduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy; This is another book that was on Kindle for less than £2. It’s one I’ve been meaning to read for AGES so maybe I might now get around to it. Maybe?

The Last Telegram by Liz Trenow; This one was another book that caught my eye in the library. The synopsis was read and it sounded like a very ME book. Add in another kindle deal and you know you have a girl who just couldn’t stay away. Looking forward to seeing if this is as good as it sounds.
